What to Bring

  • A yoga mat/blanket to put on the floor (we will have a couple of extras)

  • A watch or clock, preferably not your phone.

  • An extra shawl or blanket for meditation and during meetings.

  • A refillable water bottle with a wide enough mouth to fit a spigot comfortably.

  • A headlamp or flashlight.

  • A bathing suit and pool towel, sunscreen/hat for when we're at the pool or walking around.

  • Comfortable clothes (we will be doing some basic yoga stretches, lots of meditating and a little strolling.) Be casual.

  • Prepare for shoes off inside the house. Shoes that are easy to slip on and off are ideal.

  • Indoor slippers if your feet get cold.

  • Toothbrush, toothpaste and other essential toiletries, including bath soap and shampoo.

  • Bed linen, pillows and room towels are provided but you can bring your own if you have a strong preference.

  • Cash to tip the chef for being so awesome!



Clear off your schedule for the entire long weekend.  We have chosen to have our experience in a retreat setting in order to withdraw to a place of quiet and seclusion.  Please let friends, family and employer know that you will be unavailable.

  • Leave the laptop at home

  • We will be enjoying vegetarian meals for the weekend. We will accommodate gluten free and vegan diets.

  • Start stepping down your coffee intake 2 weeks prior.  In the spirit of de-excitation, coffee will not be served during the retreat.  However, there will be plenty of herbal as well as some black tea available.   

  • Finally, we recommend taking Monday off to either enjoy some time in Ojai or to have some time at home before you go back to work. This isn't essential but most people find that it is nice to have this time to reacclimatize.
